IPL 2013
The Indian Premier League is one of the most speculated cricket championships in India. The high profile glamour wrapped T20 championship is a magnificent mix of sports with panache backed by celebrity owners and eminent players from all over the world. The IPL 2013 marks the sixth season of the League which embarked on its journey in 2008 and this year it’s all about to hit off the stadiums from April 3. The IPL 6 would be arriving in full glory and vigor with 9 teams this year. As per the IPL news, there has been a fresh franchise incorporation this season from Hyderabad, namely Sunrisers Hyderabad. The new team would be debuting in IPL2013 replacing the older Hyderabad franchise- Deccan Chargers, which has been banned with Kochi Tuskers from the League on legal grounds.
The IPL 2013 fixtures entail that the 6th edition of Indian Premier League will have its inaugural match on the legendary Eden Gardens stadium, Kolkata. The first match has been scheduled for April 3, 2013 and will have Delhi Daredevils battling against Kolkata Knight Riders, the celebrated winner of the last season of the League in 2012. There would an ensemble of 72 matches from April 3-May 19, followed by a Qualifier Round, Eliminator Round, semi final and lastly the final match on May 26, 2013.

Just when one would have thought that the nightmarish run of Delhi Daredevils in sixth season of Indian Premier League was about to end, things went worse. It was their fifth match for the ongoing ipl schedule and against Royal Challengers Bangalore. One would think that as Mahela Jayewardene as captain, opening batting pair comprising of David Warner and Virender Sehwag; a premier fast bowler in Morne Morkel; at least for the fifth time Delhi would overpower their opponent. However, the result only added to their miserable form. A clear cut victory was snatched out of KKR’s hand by KXIP thanks to some brilliant performance on the field to defend 157 which looked pretty much gettable on this surface. KKR did a brilliant job with Narine and Kallis grabbing three wickets each and the former making a hattrick but got smashed in his final over by Gony which took KXIP to 157.
